Free Fall

Disaster struck just 40 minutes into the flight, when the small plane entered into a thunderstorm zone. A bright light suddenly lit up the aircraft, the fuel tank had been directly hit by a lightning bolt.

The passengers on the plane were in a state of panic, piercing screams filled the aircraft. The right wing of the plane broke away, and with it went the pilot’s last hope of maintaining control. Juliane and Maria held each other as tight as they could as the plane nosedived.
