
3. When He Went Missing
Adam vaguely remembered what happened when his father went missing. He was, after all, just a kid. What he did remember was odd, almost as though he’d dreamt it. None of the memories were sharply defined.
He knew men and women came to his mother’s house after his father disappeared, wanting to speak with her. She turned them all away.
Adam caught them peering through the windows, sometimes, and one even waved to him. Over time, the visits stopped.
