9. An Eerie Sense

Adam had never been much of a hiker, not off-trail, anyway. As he walked through the forest, he thought he felt someone (or something) following him. The forest’s trees were twisted and gnarled, and he could feel eyes on his back as he walked.

Adam hoped it wasn’t hunting season, as he knew that he wasn’t supposed to be off-trail like this. For all he knew, this was private property.
