When the wedding was approaching, Princes Charles began to feel nervous about the wedding. Sally Beddel Smith, royal biographer, said in her book about Prince Charles that he still had feelings for his ex, Camilla Parker-Bowers.

Apparently, Charles was pressured by his father to end the relationship with Camilla and get married to Diana. Smith says he shed a few tears the evening before the wedding. After their two sons were born, he publicly rekindled his relationship with Camilla.
