Dudley Dursley

Harry Melling played the role of Dudley Dursley, Harry Potter’s annoyingly mean, spoiled, and fat cousin. Dudley often bullied Harry and Harry spent most of his time trying to get out of Dudley’s way. This experience, however, made him prepared to stand to bullies like Draco Malfoy when he went to Hogwarts.

Harry Melling almost lost his role later on in the movie franchise because he lost so much weight. Good thing they were able to use special effects to cover up the weight loss. Harry was able to continue acting when the franchise ended. His most notable post-Harry Potter role was Harry Beltik in the highly acclaimed mini-series, The Queen’s Gambit.
