Richard Gere is a man who can play the role of a serious man with great ease, no matter if he’s in a hit movie or a commercial for Visa. He was thrilled to be cast as Edward Sumnor, the husband of his wife in Adrian Lyne’s Unfaithful.

The story centers on Edward’s breakdown and Connie’s affair with Diane Lane, who is shopping when she falls for a man. This thriller was actually adapted by Claude Chabrol from his beloved 1969 French film The Unfaithful Wife. It is a must-see for cinephiles.

4 Ghost in the Shell

Scarlett Johansson was cast as the main character in 2017’s The Ghost in the Shell. It is a remake of the popular sci-fi anime masterpiece from Japan. This Hollywood remake featured everything the audience could want, including state-of-the-art special effects and a compelling sci-fi premise.

Unfortunately, for investors at Comcast, it didn’t live up to its predecessor’s hype. Although the film did very well at the box office it didn’t quite live up to the hype the studio had hoped for.
