5 Robby the Robot of Forbidden Planet

Although Robby the Robot is most well-known for his appearance on Forbidden planet, he was also used in many other productions. Robby was created in 1950 by MGM’s props department. The seven-foot-tall robot was one of Dr. Morbius’ creations.

Robby was also featured in Lost in Space and The Twilight Zone. However, his appearance was modified as he received humanoid features. You might also remember the mysterious robot that appeared out of nowhere in Gremlins. You guessed it, Robby the Robot made yet another appearance onscreen.
