3 Star Trek’s Alien Planet

Although it may not look like it today, Star Trek was cutting-edge TV back in the 1960s. It used the most recent computer technology and methods to bring other universes to life. The budget was adjusted to reflect inflation and equates to over $1 million per episode.

The network would save money if it could. Kirk and Spock are on an alien planet in 1966. It is very similar to Earth. They actually land in the exact same town as Mayberry from the Andy Griffith Show, which was also on air at that time.

Also Appears In: The Andy Griffith Show (1960-1968)
