The tweet that Carrey posted was in response to a new law California passed that required all school children to be vaccinated, disallowing parents to opt-out due to religious or personal beliefs.

Carrey was in trouble again. People were outraged at his views. They pointed out that mercury wasn’t even used in vaccines anymore. Furthermore, refusing to vaccinate your children threatens their safety and public health.
